Kobato 01 HD & Updates

This is not an upscale, this is NHK airing Kobato HD now. It's better than the NHK-BS2 and DVD source. So, we'll complete Kobato with 720p verisons. Script will be looked over once more and redoing typeset with the HD source. Here are comparison shots with our releases:

Here are some status updates:
Ikkitousen 02: Blame Kaze-Tenshu for breaking his computer, encode is delayed
Vampire Bund: Encoder left after we waited so long, but he couldn't manage time anymore... so, new encoder: 09-11 @ QC, 12 @ edit
MFBeyblade: Finally this is moving, 14-23 are waiting for translation check/edit
Sora no Woto: 11&12 are being quality checked and the Blu-rays are waiting for ThaEagle to fix the typesets
DTB Gaiden: Encoder came back from Japan&AB so he'll start on Gaiden and DtB ep 6 Blu-Ray this week then Vampire Bund Blu-ray.
Working!! 01: Waiting for ThaEagle to fix the typesets
Regios Batch: I'll try to work on this during Friday or the weekend
Higepiyo Batch: To be honest I have no idea when we'll release this. I have other things to do that involve with other subbing projects, cosplay, and college work.
Yutori-chan 08-20: 5 more episodes and this is done O.o That was too fast... waiting for midsummer to translate~

Thanks a lot for doing Kobato HD, I was hoping for a better version to archive and this will be the one, although it have the station mark I think I can live with it :P

Feel enough with 480p

With this kind of artwork and that cliche ending, I don't think will get the 720p version. Waste my time and harddisk space. I am also planning to throw it out from my HDD to DVD. Not gonna watch again unless I forgot this story.

wow! quality is better than

wow! quality is better than coalgirls' release. they've cropped few pixels on each border, blurred badly and used gg's failsubs. oh! the filesize here is about 100mb less for each episode. awesome!

ps. my comparison made for those, who wanna watch/rewatch this awesome show and still don't know which release to dowldoad. Yuurisan-Subs FTW!

pps. new episode will be released once per week (as broadcasting) or priority of this show is very very low?

Since there really isn't anything to do but encode and QC, we should be able to release shortly after each episode airs. We'll see how it goes, though.

Glad to know refreshing my page randomly the last four hours was worth it. (^U^)

Thanks a bunch for the 720p Kobato, and exciting new releases to come. not to sure what happened with Yutori-chan almost being done already but i dont look anywhere else for subs. Also thanks for pushing through everything with Bund and other problematic releases. I've already placed 3 of my Subway coworkers as Working!! personalities so that should be fun xD. Thanks for the great work as always.

Am I the only one who is more excited about Yutori-chan than anything else on this list? Actually, I probably am the only one... Apparently it was created by the same team as Moetan, so maybe I should just go watch that.

I've never seen Moetan...

but 'sides finishing up soranowoto and bund this is actually one of the two i'm most excited about, Working! being the other. For me at least it is different from anything i've ever watched. I assume these moetastic shorts are going to end up popping up more if not already. Watching them has a certain sense of addictivity to it.
